

LCDR James H. Sikes XO from 1964 to 1966 |
LCDR Sikes graduated from the US Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1956. Reporting aboard the USS Ingraham DD 694 he served as Operations Officer until December 1959, when he reported aboard the USS Topeka CLG 8 as CIC Officer. He returned to the Naval Academy in 1962 as a Data Processing Systems Officer. During this tour of duty he attended George Washington University where he recieved his Master of Arts degree in Personnel Administration. On Dec. 4 1964, LCDR Sikes reported aboard the USS New DD 818 as Executive Officer and Navigator. In May 1966 he left New to attend Navy Post Graduate School in Monterey, Ca.
