On the Spirit Cuise from downtown we passed the Norfolk Naval Base. This view is
of NOB, main base where the big boys were parked. The base has changed quite a
bit in 40 years but many buildings are recognizable. NAS Oceana, NOB and D&S Piers
were separated but are now all connected as one big base. Only two carriers
were in port at this time. |
I have more to add and 2 or 3 more pages t make for the 2004 reunion. Please keep
looking in to see what has been added and look for old friends. It would be good
to see many more of New's old sailors attend these reunions. This was my first
for New and surely won't be the last. Ya'll come. |
